Purpose of the Competition
Organized by the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education of the Ministry of National Education, the MEB International Gastronomy Festival and Cooking Competition aims to preserve the rich culinary heritage of Turkish cuisine, support young chef candidates, and transfer traditional flavors to future generations through modern interpretations.
The competition is designed not only to assess cooking skills but also to promote awareness of local ingredients, sustainability, hygiene standards, and zero-waste kitchen practices. It serves as a comprehensive vocational development platform combining culture, gastronomy, and education.
